What Is Figure Photography???
Well no one really seems to know for sure!!! It is different things to different people. It seems you either love it, loathe it or sit somewhere in between. To me it is what you have left after you take away the unrealistic glamorous setting of a glamour photo and the clothing constraints of a fashion shoot, and add some carefully controlled and refined lighting and posing. The female form has featured in all forms of art for centuries gone by and will continue to do so for many more.It is a flattering and imaginative but simple combination of light, shadow and form. Love it or loathe it, figure photography will always fire up the imagination and emotion and sit somewhere in “The Arts”.
